Overview

Campaigns are the foundation of Advvy. This article covers two methods for creating a Campaign record.

Campaigns underpin all media plans, budgets, workflows, and integrations in Advvy. You can create one in two ways:

  • Option 1: Create a new Campaign manually
  • Option 2: Convert an existing Campaign Brief into a Campaign

Before You Start

Prerequisites — complete these before creating a Campaign.

  • You have access toAdvvy Agency → Campaigns
  • The correctClientandProductrecords exist in Advvy
  • You are working in the correctAdvvy environment(if using the Excel Add-in later)
Important: Once a Campaign is saved, the Client field cannot be changed. Confirm the correct client before saving.

Option 1: Create a New Campaign

Step-by-step manual creation.

Navigate to Campaigns

Go toAdvvy Agency → Campaignsin the main navigation.

After the Campaign is Created

What you can do next.

Once saved, the Campaign record can be used to:

  • Upload media plans via the Excel Add-in
  • Configure workflows and automations
  • Create Parent or Child Campaign relationships
  • View data in Campaign Plan+ and Media Summary
Tip: The Campaign will become searchable in the Advvy Excel Add-in. Ensure you are connected to the correct environment.

Troubleshooting

Cannot see your Campaign after saving?

Check: Confirm the Campaign has been saved successfully, you are in the correct environment, and you have permission to view Campaign records.

Key Takeaways

1
The Client field is locked after save — select the correct client before creating the Campaign.
2
Each Campaign supports one active media plan ingestion at a time; uploading a new plan replaces existing plan data.
3
Campaign Briefs can be converted directly to Campaigns, carrying over key fields automatically.
4
Start dates may need to be set slightly earlier if exporting to external systems such as SMD or Pegasus.
