How to: Filter in Campaign Plan

Modified on Wed, 21 Jan at 5:55 PM

Overview

The Campaign Plan in Advvy provides multiple layers of filtering and configuration that control how campaign data is grouped, displayed, summarised, and explored.

These filtering layers work together to give users full control over campaign views without altering the underlying data.

1. Group By (Structural Layer)

The Group By configuration defines the structural hierarchy of the Campaign Plan.

It determines:

  • How rows are grouped and rolled up

  • Which levels users can expand or collapse

  • The overall structure of the Gantt chart and summary rows

Group By forms the foundation of the Campaign Plan view.

Available Group By Options

  • Flight Breakdown

  • Source Campaign

  • Brand

  • Market Type

  • Market

  • Media Type

  • Media Subtype

  • Network

  • Medium

  • Media Owner

  • Type

  • Phase

  • Classification

  • Channel

  • Category

  • Group 1 / Group 2 / Group 3

  • Units

  • Language

  • Fee Category

2. Columns (Display Layer)

The Columns configuration controls which fields appear in the Campaign Plan grid.

  • Columns affect display only

  • They do not affect grouping or aggregation

How Columns Work

  • New columns appear at the end of the grid when enabled

  • Columns can be reordered by dragging headers

  • Fields shown here define what users see within each Group By level

Available Columns

Descriptive Fields

  • Name, Source Campaign, Brand, Market, Media Type, Medium, Network, Phase, Channel, Category

  • Group 1 / Group 2 / Group 3

3. Drill Down (Hierarchical Navigation Layer)

Drill Down allows users to explore deeper levels of detail without changing Group By or filters.

Drill Levels

  • Campaign — high-level view

  • Group — media type, market, or custom grouping

  • Flighting — individual flight or placement record

This enables progressive exploration while maintaining context.

4. Quick Filters (Interactive Filter Layer)

Quick Filters are UI-level controls that refine what is shown temporarily.

They do not change Group By or Columns and reset easily.

Available Quick Filters

  • Campaign Plans

  • Flight Breakdown

  • Source Campaign

  • Market

  • Media Type

  • Network

  • Medium

  • Type

  • Phase

  • Category

  • Fee Category / Fee Type

  • Flight Start & End

  • Billing Start & End

Quick Filters are ideal for fast analysis and ad-hoc investigation.

5. Plan Settings (Configuration & Behaviour Layer)

Plan Settings define how the Campaign Plan behaves, calculates values, and exports information.

They do not change grouping or filtering logic.

General Settings

  • Calculation Type

  • Media Sum Value

  • Flight Gantt Text

  • Currency and Campaign Currency Default

  • Campaign-level totals

  • Highlight bonus flights

  • Allow flighting expand
