MBA Approval Process for Clients
Overview
This article explains how clients receive, review, and respond to an MBA through the Advvy Client Portal.
The client approval process is triggered automatically once an MBA is submitted from Advvy and provides a clear, auditable workflow for review and authorisation.
Client Notification
When an MBA status is changed to Awaiting Approval, Advvy automatically notifies the client.
What Is Sent to the Client
The following actions occur automatically:
An email notification is sent to the assigned Client Contact
The email includes a direct link to open the MBA in the Advvy Client Portal
The Advvy user who initiated the status change is CC’d on the email
An MBA report is generated and either attached or linked (depending on configuration)
This ensures the client has immediate access to all required information to review the MBA.
Client Actions in the Client Portal
Once the client opens the MBA in the Client Portal, they can perform the following actions:
Review MBA Details
Clients can view:
Media items included in the MBA
Dates and flighting information
Costs, fees, and totals
Any comments or notes included with the MBA
Access Supporting Documents
View or download any documents attached to the MBA
Provide Feedback
Add comments or feedback directly within the MBA
Request clarification or changes before approval
Approve or Reject the MBA
Clients can formally respond by selecting:
Approve — confirming authorisation of the media activity
Reject — declining approval, typically with comments explaining the reason
Client actions are recorded against the MBA for tracking and audit purposes.
What Happens After Client Action
Approved: The MBA status updates to Approved and remains visible in the Client Portal
Rejected: The MBA status updates to Rejected, indicating changes are required
Any status change is immediately reflected in Advvy and visible to internal users.
Important Notes
Only MBAs with status Awaiting Approval are visible to clients
Clients cannot edit MBA data directly
Any required changes must be made internally and submitted via a new or updated MBA
